LASER TREATMENT AND PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY

PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY (Chemical + Light)

Precancerous sun damage, called Actinic Keratoses and Adult Onset Acne, are treated with IPL combined with the chemical LEVULAN. This may be repeated once a month. You must stay out of the sun for 2 days following this therapeutic treatment. Photodynamic therapy is used for:
  • Removing pre-cancerous skin lesions
  • Preventing skin cancer
  • Improving pores
  • Improving skin texture
  • Improving pigmentation
  • Treating moderate to severe cystic acne
  • Treating sebaceous hyperplasia
  • Treating adult rosacea
Doctor Olson has over 15 years experience using CO2 lasers and has instructed other physicians in laser surgery and laser skin resurfacing for the past decade. She was awarded 2009 American Academy of Ophthalmology TEACHING AWARD for her work.
